Whenever you update a post or product on your website, which updates your sitemap, it is kind of necessary that some actions be taken. One of them is to let the search engines know about your updates. We call this action “Ping sitemap”.
Ping sitemap can be done in several ways. One of them is the SEO plugins, which do this action automatically. Another way is that you can ping sitemap manually by copying your sitemap URL and paste it into the tool that search engines have provided it.
To ping your sitemap, first, you have to submit your website to the search engine’s webmaster tool. In the next, I will show you how.
How To Submit In Google?
There are two versions of the Google search console, the new Google Search Console and the old Google Webmaster Tools.
How To Submit Your Sitemap To Google Search Console
If you have not submitted your website to the Google search console, I will publish how to do it very soon. To submit your sitemap on the google search console, first, choose your website.
Click on the Sitemap. If there is no Sitemap, first chick on the index, to expand it.
After you have clicked on the sitemap, a page will appear on the right. Just enter your sitemap URL and click submit.
How To Submit Your Sitemap To Google Webmaster Tools
You cannot use the google webmaster tool to submit your sitemap. Because it does not support this action anymore. You must use the new version.
How To Submit Your Sitemap In Bing?
If you have not submitted your website in Bing, I will publish a post about it very soon. To submit your sitemap in Bing, you should follow these steps. First Sign-in in the Bing.
After signing in, like Google search console, select your website.

Click on the Configure my site and after that Sitemap which is in the left sidebar.

Now, enter your sitemap URL in the box at the top.

In the last step, click Submit. You are done.
How To Submit In Yandex
If you have not submitted your website to Yandex, I will publish a post about it very soon. To submit your sitemap, you should follow a few steps. First, log in to Yandex.
Like Bing, select your website in the left sidebar.

Again, like Bing, Enter your sitemap link to submit. Then, click Add.
Submit In Other Search Engines
Yahoo was replaced with Bing. Also, Ask does not accept ping submission anymore. Now, you have submitted your website to the search engines. It is time to ping your sitemap. There are two ways to do that.
Ping Sitemap With Plugins
SEO plugins do this action automatically for you; in the rest, I will show how to ping sitemap in Yoast and Rank Math work.
Ping Sitemap In Yoast
If you are using the Yoast SEO plugin, you are done. Yoast does the rest automatically for you.
Ping Sitemap In Rank math
If you are using Rank Math, you can make it automatic by following a few steps. In your dashboard, go to the Rank Math menu and then, sitemap setting.

In the general menu, you must switch on this toggle to make it automatic.
Ping Sitemap Manually
If you are not using WordPress, you should make this action by yourself, which is simple. You can do it manually every time too, which is irrational.
Ping Sitemap Manually For Google
As I mentioned above, Google has provided a tool for this action. You can ping your updated website by URL below
http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/ping?sitemap=http://www.YOUR_WEBSITE_LINK.com/sitemap-file.xml
Just replace your website URL, and then paste it into your browser. You will receive a success message after entering this link accurately.
Ping Sitemap Manually For Bing
It is well known that Bing’s automatically indexing, takes a long time to index your website. Therefore, you should ping their service to index your pages.
To do that, they also provide a tool to do this action.

Again, after you have entered this link, you will receive the success message that they are notified about your ping.
